Fathers Mentoring Fathers Program
This mentoring program is designed to match young adult fathers with seasoned fathers. Many of the younger fathers lacked a male in their lives and oftentimes became a father at a young age. The statistics show that males were affected because fathers / males were physically absent and emotionally unavailable to these young men. Also, this program has a workforce, education and parenting focus.
High School Essay contest
Each year the Board of Directors award scholarships to students in need attending a HBCU in the fall after their senior year in high school. The winners are determined based on their essay on a given topic.
Father/Child Book club
This program meets monthly at a local library where the father and child (ren) read and discuss the book together. This program is designed for fathers and their elementary aged children.
Health & Educational Awareness /outreach
Faith base community health fairs, Road to Recovery Program-American Cancer Society, healthy living and screening and family support and care.
Rainy Day Project
Provide 300 umbrellas annually to two elementary schools to provide shelter on rainy days at the bus stop to students of need.
Father/Family Prayer Breakfast
An event that is held at a local church inviting fathers and their children to worship and fellowship together. Three prayers are offered: Prayer for the children, Prayer for the Fathers, and Prayer for the Family. The average attendance for this event is approximately 250 fathers and their children
